  • Godwin Pumps Appoints Branch Managers

Raleigh/Durham and Chicago offices undergo leadership changes
    November 4, 2008

Godwin Pumps, worldwide manufacturer and supplier of the Dri-Prime automatic self-priming pump, announces the appointment of Valentine Dean to the position of branch manager of its Raleigh/Durham, N.C.-based, company-owned branch, and the promotion of Jeff Pass to branch manager of its Chicago-based, company-owned branch.

Dean joins Godwin with an extensive background in equipment rental, store management and sales. In his 17 years in the equipment rental industry for a top-10 nationally ranked equipment rental company, Dean worked his way up from rental sales coordinator to assistant branch manager to senior sales-rental representative and finally, to branch manager.

“Val’s experience in equipment rental was critical to his hiring,” said Godwin President John Michael Paz. “Our best managers have worked up through the sales and rental career ladder and can relate to the daily needs of our sales staff."

Pass joined Godwin as an inside sales representative in 2005, having gained sales and management experience from Patten Caterpillar. In addition to having an immediate and ongoing impact on Godwin’s Chicago rental and sales revenue, Pass stepped into a leadership role this past spring and summer aiding in the effort to deploy pumping equipment to the ongoing Midwest flood-relief efforts.

“As a result of our collective efforts for our customers and distributors in the Midwest, and in addition to an already impressive schedule of projects and implementations, our Chicago branch is enjoying record revenues and utilizations this year. These successes are a testament to Jeff’s leadership abilities and are consistent with his performance since his arrival at Godwin Pumps,” said Paz.

In their new roles, Dean and Pass will be responsible for all day-to-day operations at the branch, including overseeing office staff, equipment rental, sales, service and delivery, parts inventory and field service.
