  • Second AquaShield System Certified by New Jersey DEP

    February 28, 2006

AquaShield, Inc. announced recently that its Aqua-Filter storm water filtration chamber has been conditionally certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).

The Aqua-Filter chamber is a key component of the Aqua-Filter storm water filtration system, an in-line system capable of gross contaminant removal and the removal of fine sediments, water-borne hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and nutrients such as phosphorous and nitrogen. Its certification comes on the heels of the NJDEP’s certification of AquaShield's Aqua-Swirl Concentrator, a hydrodynamic separator which provides a highly effective means for the removal of TSS (course/fine sediment), floating debris, and free oil. The New Jersey Corporation certified both systems based on performance data supplied for Advanced Technology.

"These certifications are vital to us," stated AquaShield President, Kelly Williamson. "Not only can we now offer both hydrodynamic and filtration technologies to end-users in New Jersey, but thanks to TARP (The Technology Acceptance and Reciprocity Partnership), we can offer these solutions to the appropriate constituencies in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia as well."
