VUEWorks Inc. has announced that GeoNet Technologies Inc. of Prince Edward Island, Canada, has joined its channel partner program. GeoNet will offer sales, implementation, training and ASP Web-hosting services for VUEWorks GIS-integrated asset management solutions to municipal and utility clients located in Canada’s Atlantic region.
GeoNet provides consulting and data services for municipalities of various sizes throughout Atlantic Canada. According to John Allen, director of business development: “Until recently, many of our small- and medium-sized clients were only using GIS within their planning departments. These same organizations are now seeing the value of extending their GIS use throughout the enterprise and using the GIS data to better manage their physical assets."
GeoNet’s business and working relationship with VUEWorks is mutually beneficial, as GeoNet is focused on providing GIS data and consulting services that complement the VUEWorks applications. GeoNet consultants and technical staff can help with the design and development of geodata models, initial configuration and ongoing data requirements. As VUEWorks is a Web-based solution, GeoNet also offers application hosting (ASP model) for those who prefer not dealing with internal IT systems.
