Runoff Treatment
Paved or unpaved streets act as channels, allowing storm water to transport soil particles toward curb or storm drain inlets. Coarse-grain particles will eventually drop out under the influence of gravity, but finer-grained particles will continue to flow so long as the water is moving. To meet NPDES offsite discharge criteria, the most effective method to drop these find-grain particles out of the water column is to treat the water with flocculants. SEC believes in getting the flocculant into the storm water as quickly as possible and has developed the Floc-Flap, made of polyacrylamide, for this purpose. Two flaps of blended co-polymers are enclosed in a porous netting, and each flap is inserted into a slot of the storm drain.

Retaining Walls
Redi-Rock products capture the “essence of natural rock” through a system so natural-looking that many mistake it for quarried stone. Redi-Rock’s retaining walls utilize blocks weighing more than 1 ton each. The massive scale of the system allows walls to be built higher than other wall systems without using geogrid.

Expansion Joints
Proco’s Series 230 spool-type rubber expansion joints are an excellent choice for industrial wastewater applications. Company products isolate pumps and other rotating pieces of equipment from thermal stress. They also will reduce vibration in a pipe system that can be transmitted by pumps and other rotating pieces of equipment. Use the open-arch Series 230 for fluid pumping systems and the filled-arch Series 230 for heavy solid pumping systems.
