Purgatory Creek Channel Improvements Project Moves Forward

The City of San Marcos has awarded a contract to civil engineering firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) to start work on the Purgatory Creek Channel Improvements Project’s next design phase.

Purgatory Creek carries flow from the entire Purgatory watershed through San Marcos, reaching the San Marcos River through Children’s Park at Bicentennial Park. Based on the existing Purgatory Creek channel conditions, the areas adjacent to the creek are prone to flooding and street crossings within the city limits are overtopped during storm events, reported the press release.

ClockSpring|NRI Changes Name to GeoTree Solutions

ClockSpring|NRI recently announced a formal name change for its acquired concrete solutions division.

The new name, GeoTree Solutions (GeoTree), aims to reflect the division’s roots in geopolymer materials, according to a GeoTree press release. The name also emphasizes its connection to the development of geotechnical and civil composite infrastructure solutions.

Vacall AllExcavate Hydro Excavator 

Gradall Industries, Inc., Vacall AllExcavate hydro excavator, which is ideal for excavating soil, rocks and clay around utility lines and foundations, was featured in Grandall Booth at ConExp-Con/Agg 2020, according to a press release

The AllExcavate uses high-pressure jetting action up to 24.5 gpm with up to 3,000 psi to loosen material. The process disturbs less terrain than conventional excavation and exposes underground water and sewer lines, creates piling holes and slot trenches and cleaning frac tanks and other machinery on oil and gas exploration sites.
