Brad Schmidgall assumes role of executive vice president of sales
HawkeyePedershaab Inc. announced the addition of Matt Childs to its sales team. He will serve as vice president of sales in charge of the North American market. Childs has more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure industry.
Childs earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baylor University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Before joining the American Concrete Pipe Assn. (ACPA) in 2000, Childs worked as project engineer and project manager with two engineering firms in Fort Worth, Texas, dealing with infrastructure design, market development and recruiting.
Childs served as ACPA’s director of engineering services before becoming President in August 2005. During his tenure, Childa has led the expansion and reach of the ACPA into all corners of the U.S., and he is influential in concrete pipe industries in several countries. As president, Childs recruited a technical team to help producer members expand market share.
With Childs assuming the role of vice president of sales in North America, Brad Schmidgall has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of sales in charge of developing HawkeyePedershaab's global sales strategies.
Childs lives in Flower Mound, Texas, with his wife of 21 years and their two children, Sarah and Ben.
