Profile Products Awarded Two Global Sustainability Leadership Awards

Profile Products announced it is one of a select group of global companies to be named a winner in the Business Intelligence Group’s 2019 Sustainability Awards program. The Sustainability Awards honor the people, teams and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission. 

 

New ASCE Report Offers Guidance for Storm Water Control Measures

This new publication, Inspection and Maintenance of Stormwater Control Measures, describes the functions and operations of storm water control measures, offers troubleshooting suggestions and provides valuable information on the implementation of inspection and maintenance procedures. 

Topics covered in this book from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) include tiered inspection, vegetated conveyance and filtration and infiltration practices, surface storage, and literature review findings.

 

MWRD Seeks Applicants for Sustainable Landscaping & Biosolids User Awards

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is accepting applications from Cook County individuals, organizations and businesses for its 2019 Sustainable Landscaping and Biosolids Beneficial Reuse Awards until Sep. 15.

The awards recognize the activities and innovations from entities, such as park districts, villages, schools, golf courses and athletic clubs in two separate categories: Sustainable Landscaping and Beneficial Use of Exceptional Quality Biosolids and Biosolids Compost.

 

Nilex Signs Agreement for CULTEC Stormwater Chambers

Nilex Inc. announced it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for western Canada with CULTEC Inc. for its full line of CULTEC Stormwater Chambers.

With stringent municipal regulations and guidelines in place to protect our waterways and ecosystems, developers are being tasked to manage storm water in new ways. The underground storm water chamber systems act as replacements for conventional ponds, concrete structures or pipe and stone installations in the management and absorption of natural storm water allowing for more controlled infiltration into the ground while requiring less area and crushed stone for installation.
