The winners will be announced at WEFTEC 2018 in New Orleans this fall
The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announced that they are now accepting applications for the 2018 Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure awards program. Phase I and Phase II municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) permit holders are invited to submit a nomination for the program.
The storm water award program was developed and introduced in 2015 by WEF through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. EPA, according to WEF. The program aims to recognize high-performing regulated MS4s that exceed regulatory requirements in unique ways that are both effective and cost-efficient.
Each applicant will be listed as either a bronze, silver or gold community within the categories of program management and innovation, and all submissions will undergo an expert committee review. The formal winners will be honored at the Stormwater Congress Luncheon on Oct. 1 at WEFTEC 2018 in New Orleans, La.
