SWS Video Series #8: Pressing Storm Water Regulatory and Legislative Issues

In this episode of the SWS Video Series, SWS Managing Editor Katie Johns is joined by Seth Brown, executive director of the National Municipal Storm Water Alliance. The two discuss NMSA and its upcoming projects and activities along with pressing regulatory issues and legislation updates.

Recent NMSA work includes the collection of information on “ready-to-go” storm water projects to illustrate the potential for investment in MS4s and other infrastructure needs. NMSA sent a letter, reflecting a total of $1.3 billion in ready-to-go projects, to various congressional offices following the information collection. Additionally, NMSA launched the Community-Based Public-Private Partnership (CBP3) Center of Excellence

Johns and Brown also touch on the 2021 ASCE Infrastructure Report Card, which will, for the first time, include storm water.
