Sediment basin skimmer

Jan. 19, 2021
The Faircloth Skimmer surface drain is a BMP for sediment basins and stormwater management that floats on the surface of the sediment basin, releasing the cleanest water in the basin instead of draining from the bottom.

The Faircloth Skimmer® surface drain is a BMP for sediment basins and stormwater management that floats on the surface of the sediment basin as it fills and drains, releasing the cleanest water in the basin instead of draining from the bottom as conventional outlets do. The adjustable orifice regulates the filling and drawdown of the basin and improves efficiency. The skimmer drains the basin slowly over several days and at a constant rate to maximize settling.
