    Maccaferri gabions are engineered from double-twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh. These modular units and are used to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls, channel linings, hydraulic control structures, erosion protection and architectural applications. The company’s gabion baskets are made from high-quality, heavily galvanized steel wire. An additional protective polymeric coating is also applied for gabions that are to be used in more aggressive environments.
