2023 Top Projects – San Fernando Regional Park Infiltration Project

Dec. 11, 2023
The goal for this project is for captured runoff to be pretreated and discharged into a subsurface storage system.

Manuel Fabian, Civil Engineering Assistant II for the City of San Fernando, and Katie Harrel, special projects manager for CWE, discuss one of the 2023 Top Projects – the San Fernando Regional Park Infiltration Project. This project aims to not only improve water quality but divert and capture wet and dry weather runoff from more than 940 acres, which will reduce pollutant loads that would otherwise enter Pacoima Wash and the Los Angeles River.
