    2023 Top Projects – Bow Creek Stormwater Park

    According to early estimates, the project will have the capacity to capture and store approximately 320 acre- feet of storage volume.

    Jeff VanFossen, project manager for the stormwater engineering center of Virginia Beach Public Works, and Chad Morris, Planning, Design & Development administrator for the City of Virginia Beach Parks and Rec Department, share details about the #1 2023 Top Project – the Bow Creek Stormwater Park. The City of Virginia Beach decided to transform the 121-acre Bow Creek Golf Course into a multi-faceted facility, the Bow Creek Stormwater Park Facility, that will provide stormwater storage, allowing for flood mitigation while restoring natural systems.
